Maintenance Labouring Operative required for a busy sawmill on the outskirts of Lockerbie.
Nightshift - 4 nights on / 4 nights off, 6pm - 6am
The job is physically demanding, there is a lot of climbing on machinery and working in small spaces. A current Forklift Licence is required for this role.
The Job Entails:
- Sweeping up & shovelling sawdust to skips
- High level cleaning
- Fire watching for hot work tasks
- Helping Engineers carry out routines
- Making sure housekeeping standards are maintained
- Making sure Health & Safety is adhered to
The successful candidate will be given appropriate training in all disciplines and wide-ranging activities and will also demonstrate
- Positive and "can-do attitude"
- Communicate well with other departments
Good attendance and timekeeping are a pre-requisite of this position.
Own transport will be required for this position due to our location.
In return we offer competitive rates of pay with generous £70 night shift allowance & site bonus, weekly pay, overtime paid at time & a half and double time, 20 days holiday per year.
