Site Supervisor

Cain Bio Engineering (CBE) is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to deliver waterway projects in the South of England (North Hampshire, Wiltshire, West Berkshire) and occasionally further afield across the country. Our ideal candidate would be a hardworking, capable individual with a passion for the environment and hands on leadership style. CBE is a specialist aquatic engineering firm using unique environmentally friendly solutions for river restoration, pond/lake enhancement and erosion control projects for a wide range of private and public sector clients. As site Supervisor you would be working as part of a small, friendly team in some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. Key Responsibilities
To lead and share the work load of a small team of River Technicians, responsible for the installation and construction of bio-engineering projects and to work in close liaison with our Consultancy team, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
To manage each site according to the Method Statement and Risk Assessments to ensure it is completed efficiently, safely, to the highest professional standards, on time and on budget.
General Duties
· Responsible for Health & Safety on-site, with good working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
· Driving plant (excavator, dumper wheeled and tracked subject to competence and tickets)
· Hands on assistance with labouring tasks as required
· Control and management of site resources and security including labour, materials, and equipment.
· Accurate and competent completion of site documentation and checks.
· Liaison with head office and project manager as required.
· Managing and motivating team members and successful communication of information, method statements and design drawings etc.
· Other general duties as required.
Criteria:
· Full driving licence essential
· SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent qualification
· Team leading experience in a construction environment.
· Experience of using construction machinery
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail
· Must be physically fit
· Must be a competent swimmer
· IT Literate
· Some projects may require staying away four nights per week (accommodation and allowance provided)
· Must have good positive attitude and interpersonal skills
· Good team player.
