Compressed Air Service Engineer
Job description
Based in Bolton, Bell Air Compressors Ltd provides compressed air equipment and solutions to a wide range of customers mainly across the North West.
We are currently looking for a Compressed Air Engineer to join our expanding service team, carrying out planned maintenance work and attending breakdown calls.
Compressor knowledge and electrical qualifications are desirable but candidates with a strong engineering background and a willingness and ability to learn quickly, will also be considered.

Duties and responsibilities
- Carry out routine planned maintenance on air compressors, air compressor systems, blowers, dryers, filtration and ancillary products, such as oil water separators/filters/dryers etc.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair
- Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems
- Compressed Air Pipe Work
- Generate professional reports for internal and customer submission
- Identify and recommend additional work required by customers
- Specify parts required for remedial works
- Maintain and develop good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers
- Identify, recommend and implement equipment reliability and efficiency improvements
Background and skills requirement
- Engineering/electrical qualifications
- Experience in a similar role with a proven track record
- Strong communication skills – written and spoken
- Polite and professional manner
- Full driving licence
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to perform technical appraisals of engineering requirements.
- Flexible attitude to working hours
