Assistant Greenkeeper - Crowborough Beacon Golf Club
Founded in 1895, the dramatic heathland setting of Crowborough Beacon Golf Club has an unrivalled position on one of the highest points in Sussex, enjoying far-reaching views to the sea 22 miles away. The golf course has been influenced by legendary golf course Architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie.
We are currently looking to add a Full Time Greenkeeper to our experienced team.
Your Duties:
· Course preparation
· Mowing of greens, tees, approaches and rough
· Basic machine maintenance and care
· Bunker, pathway and clubhouse grounds maintenance
· Help repair and renovate damaged turf
· Use of powered and non powered greenkeeping equipment
Experience/Skills:
- Motivated and Friendly Individual with an eye for detail
- Positive attitude
- Ideally experienced as an Assistant Greenkeeper, but landscaping, gardening or grounds maintenance experience would be considered beneficial
- Full UK Driving License
- A sound knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
- NVQ level 2 in sports turf desirable but not essential
- cs30 and cs31 chainsaw qualifications desirable but not essential
Package:
- ·£26,440-£28,700 salary depending on experience/qualifications plus overtime.
- 40 Hours per week 1 in 3 weekend shifts included in salary.
