Part-Time (2 Days Per Week – Wednesday & Thursday)
At AS2Educate, we believe that education should fit the young person, not the other way around.
We are a small, trauma-informed Alternative Provision supporting KS4 and Post-16 learners who have often experienced significant barriers within mainstream education. Many of our students have SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, school-based trauma, or have simply found that traditional educational environments were not the right fit for them.
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We see behaviour as communication, not something to punish. We focus on connection before correction and believe that young people thrive when they feel safe, understood, and valued.
We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable General Tutor to join our team for two days per week (Wednesday and Thursday).
This role would suit someone with teaching, tutoring, , alternative provision, or other relevant experience. A teaching qualification is welcome but not essential.
About the Role
You will work with small groups and individual students, delivering engaging, practical, and meaningful learning opportunities that help young people build confidence, gain qualifications, and prepare for adulthood.
AS2Educate offers a range of accredited and non-accredited learning programmes across our KS4 and Post-16 provision, including:
- Functional Skills
- Digital Skills
- Level 1 & 2 Employability
- Level 1 & 2 Occupational Studies
- King's Trust Programmes
- Personal Development and Life Skills
For the 2026–2027 academic year, this role will primarily focus on delivering Level 1 & 2 Employability and Occupational Studies to Post-16 students, alongside Functional Skills and Digital Skills across both KS4 and Post-16 cohorts.
As a small Alternative Provision, we pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of our learners. Our curriculum is reviewed regularly and may evolve over time to reflect student interests, aspirations, accreditation requirements, and emerging needs. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and willing to contribute to a broader curriculum offer where required.
More than anything, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and believes in their potential, particularly those who may have lost confidence in education or themselves.

Experience working with SEND, SEMH, neurodiversity, anxiety, school avoidance, youth work or alternative provision would be highly advantageous.
