The Skipton Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Sales Administrator to support our sales and revenue strategy.
This is far more than a traditional administration role. As a key member of the commercial team, you will play an important part in driving business opportunities, supporting revenue generation, and helping deliver the hotel's growth plans for 2027 and beyond.
We are seeking an organised, proactive individual who enjoys building relationships, managing enquiries, and ensuring that every sales opportunity is maximised.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the sales and management teams.
- Manage and respond to sales enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, quotations, and customer correspondence.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales databases.
- Support the conversion of enquiries into confirmed business.
- Assist with group bookings, meetings, events, and accommodation enquiries.
- Monitor sales activity and produce reports to support business decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and community partners.
- Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue across all hotel departments.
- Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and business development initiatives.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales journey.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in administration, sales support, hospitality, or a customer-facing role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and reservation or CRM systems.
- A proactive and commercially aware approach.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering results.
