Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver packages and goods to designated destinations.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling of fragile or bulky products.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, report any maintenance needs, and adhere to safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, with a strong focus on safety.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver certifications is preferred.
- Commercial driving experience, including knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding inventory handling and loading procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing physical demands of the job.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
