Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Personal Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes and outside. This role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and independence. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. The position is paid and offers an opportunity to work within a supportive care environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers to promote independence
- Preparing meals and assisting with dietary requirements according to care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administering medication reminders as directed by care plans
- Performing light domestic duties including cleaning and laundry
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client needs
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as necessary
Skills
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely between clients’ homes
- Experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable
- Knowledge of creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating records
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate nature with a strong sense of professionalism and discretion
