Responsibilities
- Safely operate <PERSON> vehicles to deliver packages and goods across designated routes
- Plan delivery schedules to optimize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or <PERSON> driver with a strong track record of safe driving
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate licensing for heavy vehicles
- Experience with warehouse operations and handling heavy lifting tasks
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or other route planning tools
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform manual handling tasks as needed
- Prior experience in commercial driving or related roles is highly preferred
