We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to support the opening of 1 or 2 brand new homes in Sutton Coldfield. There is the opportunity for single or dual registration and employment can either start immediately or in line with a notice period. This well-established company already has a number of successful local homes and is looking to grow their portfolio to support local young people. Ideally, someone experienced in supporting complex needs such as a combination of trauma and learning disabilities would be beneficial.
Based in Sutton Coldfield, these 2 bed, warm and welcoming children’s homes belong to an established, expanding company that is driven by its core values of compassion, integrity, and excellence, supporting young people between the ages of 7 to 18 with complex needs. They are open to experienced Managers with experience supporting children with emotional, behavioural, or learning disabilities. You will have the option to choose your referrals and develop a model of care that integrates therapeutic support within your team.
An in-house administration team, Therapist, and Trainer offer excellent support. This network of head office team members closely supports the Managers to hold autonomy over their homes and allow them to focus on the important aspects of their role. Managers always have the final say over any decision for their home.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus additional bonus of up to £25,000 per annum

Role of a Children’s Residential Registered Manager
- Set up and establish a new residential home
- Manage the day-to-day running of the home once establihed
- Maintain a therapeutic, child-centred environment
- Hold excellent knowledge and implement the Children’s Homes Regulations
- Support with the recruitment and development of your team
- Provide training and conduct staff supervisions
- Lead team meetings, ensuring support is consistent across the team
- Organisation around referrals and matching processes
- Manage the finances and budgeting within the home
- Support and build your staff's confidence to ensure positive outcomes for the children
- Delegate tasks and lead by example
- Maintain excellent safeguarding policies at all times
- Manage staff rotas and act as a positive role model to both staff and children
- Liaise with social workers, teachers, psychologists, friends, and families of the children when needed
- Oversee Ofsted inspections and Reg 44 visits
Requirements of a Children’s Residential Registered Manager
- Must have a caring and open-minded nature and a passion for supporting children
- Must have worked in an Ofsted-registered children’s setting for 2 of the last 5 years
- Must have a Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Ideally hold a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
- Experience and knowledge of supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs, or learning disabilities
- Experience of fit-for-purpose interviews & experience holding a registration
- Be willing to work on-call
- Must be a driver with a valid UK Driving License
