About us
Wisdom Support Services has supported vulnerable adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour since 2009. We are a domiciliary care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission, and we specialise in helping people move out of hospital and Assessment and Treatment settings into homes of their own, where they live with dignity, choice and the right support around them. Our clients include adults with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and physical health needs, and we deliver 24 hour support across our services, including live in, waking night and sleep in care.
The opportunity
As we grow, we are strengthening how we manage quality and compliance across the organisation, and this is a key appointment. You will own our compliance framework across all of our services, making sure each one is safe, well run and ready for inspection at any time. Just as importantly, you will be a natural people person who builds strong relationships with commissioners, referrers and partners, helping to bring in new referrals and support our growth across London and beyond, all while keeping quality at the heart of everything we do.
What you will do
- Lead CQC compliance and inspection readiness across all services
- Plan and carry out a rolling programme of audits covering care records, medication, health and safety and the home environment
- Review incidents, accidents and safeguarding matters, and make sure statutory notifications are submitted correctly and on time
- Make sure mandatory and specialist training is current for every member of staff
- Keep policies and procedures up to date and embedded in daily practice
- Support and guide Team Leaders, turning audit findings into clear, practical actions
- Report regularly to senior management on compliance, risk and quality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, care managers and referrers
- Help drive new referrals and support the growth of our services across London and beyond, making sure quality keeps pace
What we are looking for
- Solid working knowledge of CQC regulation and the fundamental standards, ideally in supported living, learning disability or complex needs services
- Experience of audit, quality assurance or compliance in a regulated care setting
- A sharp eye for detail and the confidence to challenge practice constructively
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage a busy workload across multiple sites
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role involves travel between services
- A natural people person and relationship builder who can represent us well to commissioners and referrers
- A flexible team player who is happy to take on duties as delegated by senior management
What we offer
- A salary of £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
- A genuinely meaningful role in an organisation that changes lives
- Support for your own professional development
- The chance to shape how a growing provider manages quality
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
