Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, and grill experience as we have a large grill menu, steaks, chicken, gammon etc... This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment. Candidates with previous restaurant experience, food safety knowledge, and team management skills are highly encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- Oversee food safety practices and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service during serving hours
- Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly to guests
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential
- Experience with team management, including training and motivating staff
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence is advantageous
- Previous experience in hospitality roles that involve culinary responsibilities will be considered an asset
