We're looking for someone to join our small team, to help us load our vans ready to deliver Mossgiel milk across Scotland and operate a system, to control our stock.
You would need a full driving & fork lift truck licence, with no more than 3 points for our insurance to drive our vans.
Every day, our vans and lorry are loaded to be sent off across the country delivering bottles, buckets and churns with ZERO single use plastic.
The week would look like this
- Sunday 11am-4, Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 6am-3pm
- Flexibility between these hours is required from time to time
There is opportunity for Extra hours either in the chiller store for stock control purposes, or out on a delivery.
A typical shift
- Arrive at the time set for that day, prepare chiller store.
- Unload and prepare equipment with a fork lift
- Use in-house operating system to download and prepare load sheets
- Carry out a stock check in both our chill room and dry store area, before & after loading
- Highlight any shortfalls & report findings to line manager for load adjustments
- Wash down/scrub the chiller floor & walls, to ensure a hygienic operating space.

The bad bits?
Everywhere has them - we just like to be honest.
Stock - Sometimes, you'll be held up a little as mistakes can happen - milk may not be quite ready in time so while you wait you may need to switch vans around, or work with the production team to move some equipment. It can be a bit frustrating at times, but we find if we work together as a Mossgiel team, we all manage to get through the tasks at the end of the day.
Weather - our loading bay is exposed and outside to all weathers. You'll be out whether it's -5º or 25º in sun, rain, snow and moon. On the good days you'll have views from Eaglesham to Arran, on the bad days your waterproofs will be sodding and you'll be looking forward to getting to the tearoom for a heat and a dry off.
