Our multi award winning neighborhood natual wine bar is looking to develop a superstar Part Time Junior Sommelier into our little family. Diogenes the Dog has a focus on learning, understanding and sharing our knowledge of wine from a scientific perspective.
Wine service is technical and service personal, intimate and honest, with a high attention to detail.
In-house training is provided, this role could be the perfect stepping stone for wine centric individuals into a managerial position, our training is thorough and ongoing.
The right person for this role must be a knowledge driven, peoples person, with a keen eye for detail and standards and the natural interpersonal skills which suit this people focused role.
Duties include:
- Greeting guests
- Tea & Coffee service
- Prepping dishes for food service
- Running dishes to tables
- Creating unique wine experiences with our guests
- Wine service at tables including decantation and free pouring
- Guest relations
- Ongoing Cleaning duties
- Full close down duties, including pot wash, hoovering and mopping.
- Maintaining brand standards
- Training the Team
- Cash Handling procedures
- Shift Running
- H+S / FH Management
- Food and Stock Management
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.71-£16.50 per hour
