Must be able to work on there own or as part of a team.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman/Woman/Maintenance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth operations across our premises. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to supervise and lead maintenance activities when necessary. The position offers an opportunity to utilise a broad range of skills including electrical, mechanical, welding, and troubleshooting, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building infrastructure, machinery, and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues efficiently and effectively
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to facilitate repairs
- Conduct welding tasks using appropriate techniques and safety standards where required
- Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to maintain automation systems
- Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with other team members or contractors as needed
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational policies
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client needs promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance or handyman roles with a strong mechanical background
- Knowledge of electrical systems and experience working with schematics and wiring diagrams
- Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with various tools and materials used in repair work
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to supervise projects and lead teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising or mentoring team members
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical or mechanical trades are advantageous
