Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semi Skilled Workshop Engineer to join our Lighting and Compaction Workshop team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your engineering skills while contributing to the maintenance and operation of complex machinery and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical concepts, with a passion for hands-on problem-solving and continuous learning. You will play a vital role in supporting the smooth functioning of equipment, ensuring safety standards are met, and assisting with technical tasks that keep our operations running efficiently.
Duties
- Assist with the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of diesel and hydrogen powered lighting and compaction equipment
- Carry out warranty procedures for tower lights, compaction and tracked dumpers
- Conduct Pre Delivery Inspections on equipment
- Follow safety protocols during maintenance activities, including proper use of tools and protective gear
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, conforming to TCP environmental standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance logs
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal team requests promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and workshop experience
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for industrial equipment
- Willing to work alone and as part of a team
- Quick learner with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving

Pay: £28,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
