What You'll Be Doing
As our Deputy Baby Room Leader, you'll support the Baby Room Leader in delivering outstanding care and learning experiences for children aged 0–2 years.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the day-to-day running of the Baby Room.
* Deputising for the Baby Room Leader when required.
* Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Building warm, secure relationships with babies and supporting their individual routines.
* Completing observations, assessments and learning journeys.
* Ensuring children's safety, welfare and development remain at the heart of everything you do.
* Working closely with parents to share children's progress and build positive partnerships.
* Supporting and motivating colleagues to maintain high standards throughout the room.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment.
* Following all nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification).
*Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a baby room within a nursery setting.
* Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A caring, nurturing and positive attitude.
* A genuine passion for supporting babies during the earliest stages of their development.
* A valid UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Previous experience supporting or leading a room.
* Paediatric First Aid qualification.
* Safeguarding and Food Hygiene training.
