Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Carer to provide high-quality care and support to a male client in their own home. This vital role involves assisting client with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being in a warm, respectful environment. As a Home Carer, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for those you support, fostering trust and building meaningful relationships. This client lives in KingsHeath, has a condition called SMA and cannot walk. You will need to support with personal care and food preparation. We need a strong male as the client is a large male. Full training shown and provided.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized home care services based on individual care plans, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support clients with daily routines such as dressing, grooming, and household tasks to promote comfort and independence
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Use IT tools to update care records accurately and follow prescribed care protocols diligently
- Drive safely to clients’ homes using your own vehicle when required, ensuring punctuality and reliability
- Monitor clients’ health status regularly and report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare team
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, adhering to care home policies and safeguarding regulations
Skills
- Valid driving license with reliable driving skills for home visits
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Proficiency in writting documentation and reporting purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful approach towards clients of all ages
- Good organizational skills to manage schedules efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
