Ceredigion County Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Manager – Partnerships and Performance to play a key role in supporting the Council’s strategic priorities and driving continuous improvement across services.
This is a significant corporate role working closely with senior leaders, where you will manage a broad portfolio of functions and help ensure strong governance, performance and partnership working across the organisation, including a key role in strengthening organisational resilience and emergency preparedness.
About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Lead Officer – Policy, Performance and Public Protection, you will manage the Council’s Partnerships and Performance function and support the delivery of corporate priorities.
You will:
Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team delivering key corporate services
Oversee and coordinate core areas including:
Strategic partnerships (e.g. Public Services Board and Community Safety)
Corporate performance, business planning and self-assessment
Equalities, engagement and consultation
Complaints and Freedom of Information
Civil contingencies and emergency planning, including preparedness and response coordination during major incidents
Community cohesion and refugee resettlement
Policy development, research and analysis
Support the Corporate Lead Officer in shaping policies and strategies for improvement
Provide professional advice to senior managers, elected members and partners
Build strong working relationships across services and with external organisations
Lead on cross-cutting initiatives across the Council
Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and governance frameworks
About You
We are looking for a capable and collaborative manager who can operate effectively in a complex public sector environment.
Experience & Knowledge
Experience of managing teams and delivering service improvement
Strong understanding of local government and political context
Experience in performance management, partnership working and policy development
Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks
Skills & Attributes
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
Effective communication and influencing skills
Commitment to equality, collaboration and high-quality service delivery
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience
Evidence of continued professional development
Senior management qualification (or willingness to work towards)

Welsh language skills
Full driving licence
