At TACT, you'll manage our recovery-focused supported housing service, supporting adults affected by addiction and mental health difficulties. We provide safe accommodation alongside housing-related support, helping people sustain their tenancy, build independence and move forward in recovery. Residents live independently within shared accommodation, supported to achieve their recovery goals rather than receiving day-to-day personal care.

About the role
You'll manage 17 supported housing places across five shared properties in Telford, leading a small team delivering high-quality housing management and trauma-informed support.
This is a hands-on role. Alongside managing properties, referrals, occupancy, Housing Benefit and partnerships, you'll supervise and develop your team, providing practical guidance on everything from day-to-day housing issues to safeguarding, risk management and complex resident situations.
Working alongside Y Housing as our Registered Provider of Social Housing, you'll help ensure our homes remain safe, compliant and recovery-focused.
We're looking for someone with experience in supported housing, homelessness or housing-related support who is ready to make a real difference. Whether you're already managing a supported housing service or looking to take your next step into management, you'll have the opportunity to shape a service, support a great team and help people rebuild their lives.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Managing the day-to-day operation of TACT's supported housing service
- Leading, supervising and developing a team of Housing Workers and volunteers
- Overseeing referrals, assessments, sign-ups, move on, warnings and notices
- Supporting residents to sustain tenancies, maximise income and achieve recovery goals
- Managing occupancy, voids, rent accounts, compliance and property standards
- Responding to safeguarding concerns, incidents and complex resident situations
- Working closely with Y Housing, local authorities, treatment providers and partner agencies
- Producing reports, performance information and service data to support continuous improvement
If you have these essential skills:
- Experience of supported housing, housing-related support, tenancy sustainment or supported accommodation services
- Experience supporting adults affected by addiction, mental health difficulties or other complex social needs
- Relevant Level 4 Housing qualification (or you’re willing and able to start this by October 2026)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries
- Ability to remain calm, resilient and professional when managing challenging situations
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to build genuine, trusting relationships whilst maintaining accountability and boundaries
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota

- Experience supervising, coordinating or line managing staff, volunteers or placements
- Other housing, health and social care or similar qualifications or training
- Leadership, management or coaching qualifications
- Knowledge of peer support, recovery communities or the voluntary sector
