We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Prep Assistant to join our Yangguofu Malatang Chinatown team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Support meal preparation by following recipes and instructions from chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in inventory management by helping to receive and store deliveries appropriately.
Skills
- Previous food preparation (chopping) experience is a must.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for cooking and an interest in culinary arts will be highly regarded.
- Flexibility to assist in various tasks as needed within the kitchen setting.
