Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to our clients with complex care needs, ensuring their well-being in their own home. Some of our waking nights involve working with another carer.

Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with night time care needs such as bathing, food and fluids and monitoring.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including transferring them safely from bed to chair or assisting with walking.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- An ability to work throughout the night keeping clients safe
- A background in complex care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care and complex care is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining client records and care plans.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
