Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plasma Cutter and Metal Bender to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will operate plasma cutting equipment to precisely cut sheet metal and other materials, while also bending and shaping metal components to meet project specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, craftsmanship, and attention to detail will be essential in producing high-quality fabricated parts. Duties
- Operate plasma cutting machines to accurately cut sheet metal and other materials according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Bend, shape, and form metal components using manual or powered benders, ensuring precise angles and dimensions
- Use hand tools, tooling, grinders, and welding equipment to finish fabricated parts with high quality standards
- Assemble metal pieces by following detailed instructions, ensuring proper fit and alignment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Perform basic measurements and calculations using math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished products for quality, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications
Qualifications
- Prior experience in fabrication, metalworking, or related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of sheet metal working, grinding, welding, and assembly techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with hand tools, tooling, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and sheet metal properties is a plus
