Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team, in our restaurant, The Smoke Room, Humber Street, Hull. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of food production and safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, managing kitchen operations, and working with a well established team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the menu and customer preferences.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and meets safety standards.
- Implement food safety protocols to guarantee the highest standards of hygiene in food preparation.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining the establishment's identity.
- Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency in quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation techniques and presentation.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and training.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
- Creative mindset with the ability to innovate menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients.
