Job Title - Commercial Administrator
Hours -37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week

About the role of Commercial Administrator
We are seeking a new member of office staff, Commercial Admin Role to work full time in the Salford office.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including entering journals, using the Groups and the clients' financial systems to daily bill completed works and reconcile invoices as well as chasing and investigating any missing billed works.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring day-to-day Billing are recorded and issued properly on both the in-house and the clients system.
- Performing timely and accurate month-end billing and reconciliation
- Ensuring correct revenue and expense recognition. .
- Controlling our Orion Business management system
- Managing the flow of information from site to the client and chasing when needed.
- Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assisting the Commercial Team with evidence gathering and cross-checking bills and measures
- Communicating regularly with the Commercial Manager, Site Team & clients
- Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology.
- Other duties as assigned to meet organisational requirements.
What good looks like for a Commercial Admin
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with expertise in Excel required.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial management software SAP, Netsuite etc - NetSuite is the current software - training will be given.
- Experience of assisting with internal cost value audits
- Superior data management and data analysis skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Experience
- Experience of working in a commercial department in a construction company would be beneficial.
