We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with customers. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, managing inventory, and contributing to a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide detailed information about features and benefits.
- Utilise basic maths skills to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of service.
- Communicate clearly with customers, both in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven ability to sell products effectively and meet sales targets.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
