Millets Farm Centre is looking or someone to join their Butchery team!
Counter Assistant Required: Sundays 9am - 6pm.
Additional hours required during half terms.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting high-quality meats and food products from the butchery counter
- Prepare and portion meat cuts according to customer requests or store standards, ensuring precision and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
- Provide expert advice on different cuts of meat, cooking tips, and product availability to enhance customer experience with the assistance of the butchery team
- Restock display cases efficiently to ensure products are fresh, appealing, and well-presented
- Follow all food safety protocols during handling, storage, and preparation to uphold hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations during busy weekend shifts
Experience
- Strong understanding of food preparation processes and attention to detail in handling perishable goods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills to assist customers effectively and work collaboratively with team members
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per day
