Shield Security Services (Yorkshire) Ltd is looking for a dedicated and professional Relief Controller / Mobile Security Officer to join our dynamic security team based at our Head Office in Hull.

No two days are ever the same as you'll be supporting both our Control Room and Mobile Security Operations, providing vital cover across a range of contracts and sites.
In addition to providing sickness and holiday cover, you will also be required to work across various client sites throughout Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, ensuring the highest standards of service and security are maintained at all times.
Your vigilance, proactive mindset, and commitment to excellent service will help safeguard our clients' premises, assets, and personnel while maintaining the highest standards of security.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular mobile patrols of designated premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Operate CCTV systems to observe and record activities, supporting real-time surveillance efforts.
- Monitor alarms and security systems from our Control Room.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft, vandalism, or security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, coordinating with emergency services where necessary.
- Carry out site inspections, perimeter checks, fence inspections, and visual audits to ensure site integrity.
- Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, and security records accurately and promptly.
- Assist in first aid situations when required until professional medical assistance arrives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.
Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (required).
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
- Previous experience in security operations, surveillance, loss prevention, or a similar role is desirable.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring procedures.
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
- Ability to perform physical patrols and remain alert throughout 12-hour shifts.
- Flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Pay: £13.40 per hour
