Overview
We are seeking a data-driven and empathetic People Operations Manager to own and optimize our end-to-end employee lifecycle. In this role, you will move beyond traditional, reactive HR administration to proactively build scalable systems that support productivity, compliance, and employee well-being. You will serve as the bridge between leadership strategy and daily workforce operations, ensuring our team has the tools and environment to thrive.
The position is based on 16 - 24 hour week that can work around Schools runs and Child care.
Job Summary
- Optimize the employee journey to maximize engagement and talent retention.
- Scale HR workflows, systems, and tools to eliminate operational friction.
- Safeguard the company through rigorous regulatory compliance and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead workflows for onboarding, transitions, and offboarding to ensure seamless employee experiences.
- Administer payroll inputs in close collaboration with the finance team to guarantee accuracy.
- Own the HRIS system, audits, and employee databases to ensure total data integrity.
- Track key metrics like turnover, time-to-hire, and engagement to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Automate processes to reduce administrative burdens and streamline business operations.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and national labour laws and employment regulations.
- Update handbook policies and internal guidelines to align with evolving legal frameworks.
- Coach managers on conflict resolution, performance management, and employment best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in HR operations, people operations, or generalist roles.
- Proficient with Word & Excel, modern platforms and data reporting tools.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of employment law.
- Communication: Exceptional active listening, mediation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
