Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Commis Chef with at least 2-3 years experience to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is part time working 3 days a week. Immediate start if possible

Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
- Serve food efficiently during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold high standards of service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or pub environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, including chopping, seasoning, cooking, and garnishing dishes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional food preparation
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for food
A trail shift may be required due to experience
A successful candidate will undergo a three-month trial review
