Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations within our busy UK food manufacturing site. This role is essential in ensuring smooth production flow, accurate stock control, and full compliance with food safety and quality standards.
You will lead a small team, manage goods in/out, maintain stock accuracy, and ensure all warehouse activities meet BRCGS, HACCP, and customer requirements.
Duties
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Oversee goods-in, goods-out, stock rotation, and FIFO processes
- Maintain accurate stock control, including cycle counts and inventory checks
- Ensure all materials are stored correctly to meet food safety and quality standards
- Support traceability, batch control, and documentation for audits
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maintain smooth workflow
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, allergen control, and site hygiene standards
- Monitor warehouse housekeeping, safety, and equipment checks
- Train and develop team members to maintain high performance
- Report any non-conformances, stock discrepancies, or safety issues promptly

We’re Looking For
- Experience in a warehouse leadership or supervisory role (food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong understanding of stock control, traceability, and FIFO principles
- Knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and UK food safety requirements
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Competent with warehouse systems, paperwork, and basic IT
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
