We are seeking a creative and passionate Instructional Designer to support the development of high-quality, engaging and inclusive digital learning experiences across the University.
Working collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues, you will design, develop and evaluate online and blended learning content that enhances the student experience and supports effective learning outcomes. You will play a key role in transforming learning materials into engaging digital resources, ensuring accessibility, usability and pedagogical best practice are embedded throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging online and blended learning content.
- Apply instructional design methodologies and learning theories to create effective learning experiences.
- Create accessible digital learning materials using a range of tools and technologies.
- Work with stakeholders to understand learning requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ensure digital content meets accessibility, quality and compliance standards.
- Support the use of assessment, learning analytics and learner engagement tools.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outputs to agreed deadlines.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in digital learning design
About You
You will be an experienced instructional design professional with a strong understanding of learning design principles, digital pedagogy and online learning technologies. You will have experience developing engaging and accessible digital learning content, working with a range of stakeholders to translate requirements into effective learning solutions. With excellent communication and project management skills, you will be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience within higher education, knowledge of accessibility standards and learning analytics, and familiarity with digital learning platforms and authoring tools would be advantageous.

This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely and at our city centre campus, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
