Position: Breakfast Chef
Location: The Weald of Kent Golf Course & Hotel, Near Headcorn (6 miles south of Maidstone)
Contract Type: Part-Time and Full-Time available, Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour + gratuities

The Weald of Kent Golf Course & Hotel is a well-established destination known for its welcoming atmosphere, high-quality service, and picturesque setting. With a busy hotel, restaurant, and regular private events, we are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Chef to take responsibility for our morning food offering and help deliver an exceptional start to the day for our guests.
Role Overview
As Breakfast Chef, you will lead the preparation and service of all breakfast items for hotel guests and early functions. You will ensure a high-quality, consistent breakfast service while maintaining efficiency during busy morning periods. You will work closely with the wider kitchen team to support smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a full range of breakfast dishes, including cooked breakfasts, continental options, and buffet service
- Ensure all food is freshly prepared, well-presented, and consistently high quality
- Manage breakfast service efficiently during peak morning hours
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Assist with prep work for lunch service when required
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Keep the breakfast section clean, organised, and fully stocked
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen (essential)
- Previous breakfast or hotel breakfast service experience (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and passion for quality food and presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced morning service
- Good communication skills and team attitude
- Flexibility to work early shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Own transport essential due to rural location
Working Hours
- Full-time position with 8-hour straight shifts
- Typical shift pattern: 6:00am–2:00pm or 6:30am–2:30pm
- Weekend work on a rotational basis required
