We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environment.
The Role
- Deliver 3 hour initial assessment with report (non EHCNA
- Promote an inclusive approach
- Focus on meaningful, functional outcomes that improve participation and independence
- Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce report as required
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- ADHD
- Developmental Coordination Disorder
- Language disorder
- Social communication challenged
- Movement seeking and lack if maintaining attention
- Challenges in fine motor manipulation
- Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities
- Sensory sensitivity
- Behind academically
- Reading comprehension at a much younger age
- Swallowing difficulties
