Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, maintain efficiency and teamwork
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Demonstrable culinary skills with a strong understanding of food presentation and flavour combinations
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and service
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with team members
- Previous experience in food production, cooking, or restaurant service is essential for success in this role
