About CCI Services:
CCI Services is a small but rapidly growing commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and engineering services company based in Berkshire.
We have secured a number of new contracts across London and the Home Counties and are looking to strengthen our technical engineering team.
Our engineers work across a variety of commercial premises including hotels, restaurants, care and nursing homes, offices, schools and other commercial sites.
We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration / HVAC Engineer with strong practical skills, good technical aptitude and a positive “can-do” attitude.
The Role:
This is a mobile field-based engineering position covering London, the Home Counties and areas around the M3, M4 and M25 corridors.
The role will be primarily Commercial refrigeration, with approximately 25% of the work involving air conditioning and ventilation systems.
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning of commercial refrigeration and associated HVAC systems.
Commercial Refrigeration:
· Cold rooms
· Walk-in freezers
· Commercial refrigerators and freezers
· Display cabinets
· Under-counter refrigeration
· Ice machines
· Condensing units
· Compressors
· Refrigeration systems
· Commercial refrigeration controls
· Refrigeration pipework and components
Air Conditioning:
Approximately 25% of the role will involve associated air-conditioning work, including:
· Split systems
· Air-conditioning units
· Basic fault finding
· Servicing and preventative maintenance
· Component replacement
· Installation and commissioning
· Refrigerant-related work within your qualifications and competence
Ventilation & Extraction:
· Commercial kitchen extraction systems
· Extraction fans
· Ventilation systems
· Motors and controls
· Fan replacements
· Basic fault finding and maintenance
Refrigeration Experience:
We are particularly interested in engineers with strong hands-on experience in areas such as:
· Compressor replacement
· Refrigeration system installation
· Fault diagnosis and repair
· Pressure testing
· Vacuum/evacuation
· Refrigerant recovery
· Leak detection
· Condensing unit replacement
· System commissioning
· Refrigeration controls
· Electrical fault finding
· Preventative maintenance
Don't Have a Full F-Gas Certificate?
That does not necessarily prevent you from applying.
We recognise that some experienced refrigeration engineers have extensive practical experience but may not yet hold the complete F-Gas qualification.
If you have significant hands-on experience with compressor changes, refrigeration installations, fault finding, pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant recovery and commissioning, we would still like to hear from you.

If you have strong refrigeration fundamentals and are willing to broaden your skills, additional training can be provided.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are desirable but not all essential:
· F-Gas qualification
· City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent refrigeration qualification
· NVQ
· HNC
· Electrical qualification
· 17th/18th Edition or equivalent
· Relevant air-conditioning qualification
· Relevant ventilation/HVAC experience
Practical experience is highly valued. We would particularly welcome applications from experienced refrigeration engineers who have strong hands-on skills but are missing one or more formal qualifications.
Main Responsibilities:
· Attend customer sites across London and the Home Counties
· Respond to planned maintenance and breakdown calls
· Diagnose refrigeration and HVAC faults
· Carry out refrigeration repairs and component replacement
· Carry out compressor replacements
· Install and commission refrigeration systems
· Service and maintain air-conditioning systems
· Carry out ventilation and extraction maintenance
· Undertake preventative maintenance
· Complete service reports and job documentation
· Maintain professional relationships with customers
· Work safely and in accordance with company procedures
· Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment
· Work alongside other engineers when required
· Undertake other reasonable engineering duties
