Registered Manager / Service Manager – Supported Accommodation (16–17)

About the Role
As Registered Manager / Service Manager, you will operational leadership across our Supported Accommodation service.
You will lead a dedicated staff team, drive continuous improvement, develop strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies, and ensure young people receive outstanding support that prepares them for adulthood.
We will fully support the successful candidate through the Ofsted Registered Manager registration process.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day management of the Supported Accommodation service.
- Ensuring compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Creating a positive, high-performing and supportive team culture.
- Leading, supervising, coaching and developing staff to achieve their full potential.
- Promoting excellent safeguarding practice and embedding a culture where young people’s welfare is always the highest priority.
- Overseeing support planning, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Monitoring service performance and implementing improvements to achieve the highest standards.
- Developing positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, social workers and partner agencies.
- Preparing for Ofsted inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Supporting the continued growth, development and success of Pennine Youth Support.
About You
You’ll be an inspiring leader with a genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
You will have:
- At least two years’ (within the last 5 years) experience working with children or young people within Supported Accommodation, residential children’s services, leaving care or a similar setting.
- Experience supervising, leading or managing staff.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding, risk management and relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to motivate teams and build positive professional relationships.
- A commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for young people.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- The right to work in the UK.
- The ability to meet the suitability requirements to become registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager.
Desirable
We’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Service Manager.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards it.
- Experience preparing for or participating in Ofsted inspections.
- Experience supporting care-experienced young people and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
- A proven track record of driving service improvement and developing high-performing teams.
