Overview
Lore Lovis is a London-based contemporary jewellery brand creating distinctive, meaning-led pieces with a strong focus on symbolism, personalisation and modern design.
We are looking for a technically strong Jewellery CAD Designer to work closely with our jewellery designers and manufacturing partners, translating approved designs and developed concepts into accurate, production-ready 3D CAD models.
Duties
- Create accurate, production-ready 3D jewellery CAD models.
- Translate approved sketches, technical drawings and design specifications into 3D models.
- Work closely with jewellery designers to resolve construction and manufacturing details.
- Ensure appropriate dimensions, tolerances, wall thicknesses, weights and structural integrity.
- Develop technical elements including settings, bails, clasps and connections.
- Optimise models for 3D printing, casting and production.
- Produce accurate 3D visualisations/renders where required.
- Revise CAD models following design, prototype and manufacturing feedback.
- Liaise with designers and manufacturers throughout product development.
- Prepare and organise final CAD files for production.
Requirements
- Professional experience in jewellery CAD design.
- Strong proficiency in Rhino, MatrixGold, or equivalent jewellery CAD software.
- Strong understanding of jewellery construction and manufacturing.
- Experience preparing CAD models for 3D printing, casting and production.
- Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, metal thickness, weight and production constraints.
- Ability to translate approved designs and technical specifications into accurate, production-ready CAD models.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, collaborative and receptive to feedback.
- Experience with sculptural, geometric or personalised jewellery is advantageous.
Working Arrangement
- Freelance / project-based initially.
- Approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility depending on collection-development requirements.
- Remote/hybrid working can be considered.
- Potential for an ongoing relationship as the brand grows.
Pay: From £18.00 per hour
