Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Care Worker to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing essential support with daily activities, health management, and emotional well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and health monitoring
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Engage in behavior management techniques for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's care needs
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition promptly
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to promote a safe and comfortable environment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Experience
- Previous assisted living or home care experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and first aid certification
- Experience working with seniors, including those requiring hospice or dementia care
- Familiarity with nursing home routines or caregiving in a variety of settings such as assisted living or residential homes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviors compassionately
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and assisting with mobility safely
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties
- Background in Learning Disability and behavioral management
- Able to work 1-1 with multiple service users.
Shift pattern - Nights 10pm-8am, Botteville Road.
