Homeless Prevention Worker - RCT
3 days per week! (21 hours)
We are looking for a dedicated
Homeless Prevention Worker to support individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or facing challenges that could affect their housing and wellbeing.
In this rewarding role, you will work alongside young people to understand their individual circumstances, identify practical solutions and help them move towards greater stability and independence.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting people who are homeless or at risk of losing their accommodation.
- Providing person-centred advice, guidance and practical support.
- Helping people understand their housing options and access appropriate accommodation.
- Working with other agencies and services to ensure young people receive the right support.
- Supporting young people to develop confidence, life skills and independence.
- Advocating for individuals and helping them navigate housing, benefits, education, employment and other services.
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, non-judgemental and resilient, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
You’ll need excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and the confidence to support young people who may be experiencing complex or challenging circumstances.
Experience of working with young people, homelessness, and housing is essential.
