Activities Coordinator

Full-Time Permanent Position
We are looking for a friendly, creative, and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team at Carsington House. This rewarding role involves planning and delivering engaging activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities and events for residents.
- Encourage residents to maintain existing hobbies and explore new interests.
- Support residents to socialise and participate in group and one-to-one activities.
- Organise seasonal events, entertainment, outings, and community activities.
- Encourage involvement from families, friends, volunteers, and staff.
- Accompany residents on outings when required.
- Maintain accurate activity records and contribute to care plan reviews.
- Create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all residents.
- Assist with fundraising activities and community engagement initiatives.
- Promote activities through posters, displays, and internal communications.
Essential Requirements
✔ Friendly, outgoing, and creative personality
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities for older adults
✔ Good IT, administrative, and record-keeping skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Genuine passion for improving residents' wellbeing and quality of life
✔ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Previous experience in a care home, healthcare, or activities role.
- Experience working with older people, including those living with dementia.
- Qualification in recreational, occupational, or therapeutic activities.
- Flexible approach to working hours and occasional outings/events.
