£13.00 - £13.75 per hour plus £70 sleep 38.5 hours plus sleep allowance

Associated Wellbeing are looking for Residential Childcare Support Workers to join our team. As part of our team, you will help provide individual support to children living within our brand new Ofsted children’s home. As a support worker, no two days are ever the same. You may be out walking or biking one day and then catching the latest film at the cinema or thrill seeking at a theme park the next. The list of fun things we do is endless, and it all depends on the interests of our children.
Your main duties and requirements would include, but not are not limited to:
Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our children
Establishing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with children
Encouraging the development of the individual interests of our children
A desire to learn, we provide full training for you to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce
What do we need from you?
Experience of supporting children who may be vulnerable is desired but not essential
Understanding and commitment to the role - including some weekends and bank holidays
Undertake sleep-in duties as part of a rota
Participating in activities and ensuring we provide children with a place they feel at home
Be capable of working on your own initiative
Have good inter-personal skills and be a positive team player
A desire to engage, motivate and encourage the children living in our home
