We are supporting to recruit a talented and dedicated Registered Manager for a new Children’s Home in Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a current manager who wants a fresh challenge, or an experienced deputy who feels ready to step up. You will be responsible for creating a new home where children can feel safe, valued and are given the tools they need to thrive; a home where the feel respected, supported and empowered to have their feelings and wishes heard.

The home will be able to support a maximum of 3 children at any time and will specialise in learning disabilities. Set in the outskirts of Glossop, the home has fantastic transport links making the commute to work easy for the manager and the team, as well as offering opportunities for you to be able to support the children within the home to access the community and local areas.
As the Registered Manager:
· You along with the Responsible Individual, will lead the registration and opening of the home with Ofsted.
· Manage and inspire their team to achieve the highest possible outcomes for the children within their care.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
· You will be responsible for the overall running of the home, from a day-to-day perspective as well as future planning through managing the homes budgets.
· You will be accountable for ensuring that all the children within the home receive a supporting, nurturing and stable environment and take on the responsibility to make sure they, as well as your staff team, are safeguarded.
· You will act a positive role model to the children and staff team alike, building and maintain trusting relationships.
· You will be collaborating with a range of professionals to provide the support needed each individual child.
What we need from you:
· To have or be working towards a Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or the equivalent) qualification.
· Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (or equivalent).
· A minimum of 2 years managing/leading a team in a residential setting.
· Experience of performing a range of roles within a children’s residential setting
· Understanding of Ofsted processes, registration procedures, regulations, and quality standards.
· Strong knowledge of legislation around the care of children, including safeguarding and child protection.
· Full UK driving Licence.
· Right to work in the UK
· Ability to work flexibly and conduct on call duties as required.
