Relief Worker

Hours: Monday to Sunday, flexibility required

About the Role
As a Relief Worker, you’ll play a vital role in making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable and homeless people, by supporting the running of our hostels in either Bangor or Colwyn Bay, contributing to the effective provision of day-to-day support to the residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safeguarding the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of vulnerable and homeless people residing in the hostel
- Contributing to the organisation and delivery of a range of engagement and involvement activities to promote social inclusion amongst residents
- Ensuring housekeeping tasks are regularly carried out at the hostel
- Maintaining accurate hostel records and resident files
- Responding to and managing any incidents at the hostel appropriately
Essential requirements:
- Superb customer service skills, ideally with experience of working in a face-to-face customer service / support role
- Ability to communicate in Welsh, or committed to developing your Welsh language skills (with our support)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and work effectively with colleagues
- An awareness of the support needs of vulnerable people with the ability to work alone with confidence and good judgement
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
