Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated General Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, be organised, and possess a friendly demeanour to contribute positively to our vibrant environment.
We have BOH and FOH positions available - it's your preference, however training across both is available - hence 'general'.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support with stock replenishment and inventory management
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to ensure orders are prepared promptly and accurately
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portion control
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining friendly customer interactions
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not mandatory
