Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated PPT Driver (T20) to join our clients dynamic logistics and warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials within the warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and materials handling. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and mechanical systems, committed to maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate the PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) and other warehouse vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
- Manage materials handling processes, including moving stock to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any faults promptly.
- Support warehouse organisation by maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet operational deadlines.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, PPTs, or similar warehouse vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with construction sites or industrial environments is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
