Highview Power is an award-winning energy technology company that designs, develops, builds and operates long-duration energy storage solutions on its own or in partnerships and uses liquid air as the storage medium.
Our proprietary cryogenic technology has been dubbed as "the missing link" to making Renewable Green Energy sources a more resilient, reliable and cost-effective option when compared with traditional carbon alternatives.
Highview is a small (approx. 60 people) organisation comprised of a broad range of nationalities, led by a team of highly experienced and seasoned executives with track records of success across many markets.
We have completed the capital raise for our first utility scale project at Carrington, near Manchester, in June 2024 and are currently developing a portfolio of projects in UK, Ireland and Australia, with expansion to other countries to start soon. The UK market is particularly well suited for long duration energy storage (LDES), with the need for LDES well supported by the UK government. The main current focus of Highview Power is to develop a UK portfolio of projects, beyond Carrington, that can be delivered by 2030 under the expected cap and floor regime and help deliver the UK’s clean power 2030 ambitions. The growth opportunities for Highview are significant and will therefore provide the opportunity for Highview employees to have a significant and positive impact on the energy transition.
Highview Power value their employees and are committed to creating a positive, high-performance, inspiring and inclusive working environment.
You will take a lead on the business case modelling activities for our projects from concept through to investment decision.
You will work closely with the Business Development Director, the power systems team and trading team in evaluating the revenue modelling to extract the maximum value from Highview Power’s core LDES technology and other storage and flexible generation technologies being considered by Highview. You will also closely follow policy, energy market and competitor developments in order to evaluate and help manage the risks and opportunities of our current and future portfolio of projects.
You will work closely with other teams and will act as a co-ordinator in preparing presentations and materials for decision makers relating to strategy, business development, investment decisions and will have extensive exposure to the Commercial leaders of Highview from day 1.
You will initially be focused on UK and Ireland, with the opportunity to work on other markets as the business grows.
