We are seeking a reliable and professional 3.5t Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods for our clients efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. Job Pay Band
The Starting Monthly Salary is £2,065.35 + Bonus, This will increase after sucessful 3 month probationary period.
Duties
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres across designated routes
- Load and unload items, sometimes often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safety standards are met
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to the relevant department
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for a 3.5t van, with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Strong organisational skills for route planning and time management
- Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial driving
