Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful IT Technician to join our technology support team. Duties
- Operate and support the our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliable day-to-day business operations.
- Manage EPOS/POS equipment, including tills, barcode scanners, receipt printers and payment technology.
- Configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks, including routers, switches, access points and internet connectivity.
- Assess system performance, diagnose technical faults and implement corrective actions to minimise disruption.
- Carry out scheduled system maintenance, software updates and security checks.
- Manage routine backups and assist with system restoration and data recovery when required.
- Support IT-connected CCTV and security systems, conducting technical checks and coordinating with external contractors.
- Resolve operational incidents affecting EPOS, payment processing, network connectivity, online ordering and other critical business systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, and VPN setup.
- Knowledge of hardware components including desktops, laptops, servers, switches, routers, and peripherals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable language for users at all levels.
- Ability to analyze issues quickly using strong problem-solving skills while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
