At our award-winning, family-run country pub, pulling the perfect pint and serving exceptional food is just the beginning. We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Front of House team member who leads by example, inspires those around them and helps deliver the exceptional service our guests have come to expect.
Situated in the heart of the beautiful North Downs, our picturesque 15th-century pub has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for its outstanding food and 4 AA Gold Stars for our boutique accommodation. We welcome a wonderful mix of loyal local customers, destination diners and overnight guests, making every day varied and rewarding.
The Role
As a senior member of our front of house team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. You'll confidently lead shifts, support and develop your colleagues, and ensure every guest enjoys a first-class experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the front of house team during busy service periods.
- Running shifts confidently and efficiently.
- Delivering exceptional food and drink service.
- Maintaining the high standards expected of a 2 AA Rosette restaurant and 4 AA Gold Star inn.
- Ensuring all food safety, licensing and due diligence procedures are followed.
- Coaching, training and supporting new and existing team members.
- Creating a positive, professional and motivated working environment.
- Leading by example with enthusiasm, attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality.
About You
You'll have:
- A minimum of two years' experience in a quality pub, restaurant or hotel.
- Strong bar and waiting experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A positive attitude with the confidence to take responsibility and lead a team.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- A desire to develop both yourself and those around you.
